The proceeds of the print go to Occupy Wall Street:

18 x 24″ Screen print, Signed and Numbered Edition of 450. $60. Proceeds go to Occupy Wall Street.

Signed by Shepard Fairey and Sarah Mason (pictured).

I don't fully get this "grip"

For one, not sure if you can put Fairey in the 1% category, while he does very well for himself, I think when people try to guess what artist make they are way off base... after staff, business expenses, gallery fees, art reps, etc... he gets paid last with whatever is left

For two, I don't buy the argument that you have to be "one" to advocate for "them" (we will skip the part that he and other "well known" advocates came from as modest of means as the rest of us). As an example I am licensed drug counselor but I am not a drug addict in recovery...never have been one, does that mean that I can not advocate for them?

It is about intentions, and if Occupy Protesters want to advance the movement there can not be this attitude that you have to be eating out of dumpsters to be a part of the movement......

Proceeds are after administration costs. He pays himself. While I respect anyone who donates any time or money, this print is an oxymoron to me as he is still profiting from the movement. It's irony in that a bunch of 99%ers will be the ones buying it.

As for the art itself, bit indifferent. Don't love or hate it. It's alright I guess. Not a fan of political art.

the OWS movement isn't anti capitalist, it's anti greed and exploitation, among other things.

Your implication is that the movement is against people making money which they are not.

No it's not : /

My implication is what I said...irony that Shep is going to profit off of the 99%. The print itself is an oxymoron. Don't try to Fox News what I said.

I'm not trying to spin your words but how is profiting off the 99% ironic unless the movement is against people making profits?

I am going to try to profit as well; it is called buying to flip. Who cares who profits? Stop being so single-minded.

OWS is also about obscene profits...fair share. This all really belongs in the release discussion forum.

You obviously care enough to post about how you will profit.

I care more about seeing you idiots quit the incessant pointless bickering. The only thing you are right about is that none of this belongs in this thread; not the extreme right-wing rhetoric being thrown about, or the release/profit discussion. You have no actual legitimate source that OWS is about pure unadulterated profit, so shut your pure unadulterated teabag hole. You sound like a complete imbecile.
