We wanted you to be the first to know that the newest Shepard Fairey "Lead By Example" ADOPT print will go on sale at a random time on Thursday, September 24th.

This gold and black version is truly stunning! Each print is signed and numbered (out of limited run of 400) by Shepard Fairey and proceeds go to help get homeless shelter animals seen and saved! The collectable red/blue version sold out in under 90 minutes, so be ready on Thursday, September 24th if you want to grab a gold one.

Stickers, shirts and bandanas are available now too, so be sure to let the world know you support pet adoption in every way.

On behalf of the animals and the Adopt-a-Pet.com team we thank you for your support.

Woof!

I'm asking for a favor from anyone who has the Gold edition of this print.

I will be framing this for a friend of mine and she's nervous about taking it out of the tube, so if anyone has this print, would you please measure it and post the size?

I know the listing shows 16 x 24, but sometimes Shep's stuff isn't exactly the size listed (e.g. jaws wave was a good 1/4 to 1/2 longer than 24"). I'll have to order a custom frame anyway, might as well be sure I get it the right size.

Thanks

You prefer the gold? I've been on the fence about dropping another couple bills but the money is helping a couple animals in the end.

Let me know- give me your opinion, I'm not rich and have the 1st edition. Worth it?

e: had a question and realized you couldn't answer it- yet

Anybody else?

Honestly, I don't have either edition of this print. My friend just bought the gold edition and wants me to frame it for her. She doesn't want to take it out of the tube after one print she had me frame got dinged up before she could get it to me. That's why I was hoping someone would measure theirs so I can order the frame in advance and have it ready to go after some flattening.

I've not seen either edition, sorry.

Thanks for the response!

I could measure the 1st edition and compare it but that's kind of a risky conversion.

Yeah, that's the trouble...1st ed. might be exactly 16 x 24, but the gold might be 16" x 24 1/2" which won't fit a 16 x 24 frame. I'm pretty sure that cutting the print would not be an acceptable option for my friend...or for me, for that matter :)

How much do you all think this print is worth today? February 2012? There is one for sale on E bay for $1,400 -- I don't know if that is reasonable price.
