Trust me: the original on the 3D paper blows the variants away.

Just to clarify, The Red variant is on the same "paper" as the reg. I lined up all 3 last night and I have to say the Red is my favorite. Normally I am a sucker for sparkle foils, and the folks in my office that saw them flipped over the sparkle foil, but they aren't collectors and didn't really notice the lenticular "paper" until I pointed it out to them because they were entranced over the rainbows in the sparkle foil.

That's a horrible picture. Essentially, when it's lighted from above, the record appears to float off the surface, with the tiny cells moving and flowing when you looks at it from different angles.

I have recently acquired some great prints, but this is by far my favorite.

Just picked one up in a trade from an awesome EBer. Blue is absolutely correct; it's not paper. It's a translucent blue plastic of some sort. I read all the comments about how cool this one is, but nothing prepares you from seeing it in person. It deserves a Peacedog backlit frame job... it's that good.

Thanks, guys. I cut a piece of translucent white plastic light panels used for florescent ceiling lights, and placed it directly behind the poster to soften the backlight effect. Otherwise, you could pretty much see through the poster (since it's as much transparent as it is translucent). It was worth a shot for $8 per sheet, and it worked out just like I hoped.
