How do trades work? I feel a little uneasy about trading one of my posters for someone elses. What if they rip me off? How does it all work, is it the honor system? Is there a way to make sure I don't get ripped off?

Most people are just as paranoid about you as you are of them, but people who have been around a while have feedback, and you have none. Also, it's an internet forum...if there's a scammer, or someone who's just generally known to be full of shit, there won't be any shortage of comments by other forum members stating such.

My first trade, we bought the posters from each other. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it broke the ice, and worked out fine. No idea how other people start off.

Probably going to be the way for a lot of people here who have been around for a while...buy/sell something from/to an active member who has good feedback, and get some feedback for yourself; after a couple of those, you'll find people more likely to trade with you.

Feedback is key. It helps if you have an eBay profile with good feedback that you can link to IMO.

But no I would probably not trade with someone that has 1 post and just joined last week, thems the breaks I guess.

you could always try an escrow member. both of y'all send it to a reputably valued member, and he sends to the appropriate party.

Look at their feedback, hopefully they have been here a while.
Be prepared to send your poster first, that's how I deal with people with no feedback.
Your ass isn't in the wind as much as you would think, we police this place pretty well.
Be sure to give an extremely detailed description of your print... sunlight helps when looking for issues.
Packaging is crazy drymounting important... huge.

You have to pay the noob cost and send your print to the more established member with feedback first. Just be careful who you work with.

You could also go through paypal, it will cost you 3%, but will also make filing an insurance claim easier if one gets lost or damaged on the way.

Paypal sounds like the best idea. But I'm looking at doing a part trade/part sale. I'm the one who is new too lol.
