How long for art approval?

I'm asking this question because long waits to get my art approved has happened a few times in the past. This last time, I submitted a R. Crumb record album for approval about a month ago. Nothing. After about 2 weeks of hearing nothing from EB, I submitted it again. Still nothing.

What's up? Sometimes my submissions get approved in a few days or less, other times it takes more then a month and repeated submissions.

Thanks,
Bob

It might have something to do with how easily the authenticity of the release can be verified. If you've submitted a poster that the artist just released and their website has multiple pages about the release info, then it can probably be pushed through really quickly. Something older that doesn't necessarily have a readily available information trail, who knows...

Just my $0.02.

I recently had this discussion with someone else and it might be worth mentioning to the entire board (meaning this is not directed specifically at you Sunshine_Bob)...

If you want your submissions approved quickly, EVERYONE needs to follow the guidelines set out here
http://expressobeans.com/wiki/index.php ... s_database

here
http://expressobeans.com/wiki/index.php ... rt_Entries

and here
http://expressobeans.com/wiki/index.php ... Guidelines

Even if you've submitted something that's been approved in the past, it doesn't necessarily mean it was done correctly, so please re-read the guidelines every now and then. Over 95% of what is in the queue right now doesn't even come close to matching what the volunteers look for, which is a bit pathetic considering there are close to 150,000 go-bys. If people want the queue cleared out on a daily basis, I can do that, but it would involve rejecting the vast majority of what's submitted to this site and I don't think anyone (including the people approving the art) wants this. Heck I can reject most entries right now based on not following the naming convention alone! The time lag is due mostly to verifying an entry is not a duplicate, changing/adding information to match the EB standards, and cropping pictures.

I appreciate your reply and the guidelines. I believe the submission form is very clear as I have successfully added a few hundred posters, etc. In this case, I have filled it out correctly 2 times. However, it is possible I have missed something so tomorrow, I will try for a 3rd time.

Thank you,
Bob
