If there is no original price either then it shouldn't be calculated into the total amount, because according to the EB data base, its not worth anything.

I would characterize some of the art I own as "priceless." It doesn't matter if there is an original cost listed or a resale history. Some things you just can't put a value on.

I totally agree. I'm just saying I think its okay if some prints are excluded from the number.

Did this just fall to the way side? I have an interest in this as well. Anyone with the actual capacity to make the necessary changes on the back end see or pay attention to this thread. I think a private tool is valuable. I donated to this site already but would be willing to donate more for this specific functionality.

i would think it would be fairly simple coding to pull together a csv file based on your collection's averages in the database. out of my league, but it shouldn't be too tough.

i think it would be helpful for insurance purposes.

Just a thought. I've often been curious about the estimated values of poster collections. Current value and total value over time.

Thought it might cool if there was a way to view the total 6 month averages, for all the prints in a given collection. And maybe even a way to track it over time via a graph. I know that anyone could just go and look up all their prints and do the math themselves, but I thought it would be a neat addition to EB. Given my small knowledge of website building and programming, I have no idea how easy or difficult this would be.

how do you measure their value if they have never been traded?

As far as OGs go, there should be a way to omit them from the calculation.

The system wouldn't have to be perfectly accurate, it would just give you a rough estimate.
