Member titles?

I apologize if this has been asked before but how are the member titles set up. For example, how does one go from an Art Enthusiast to an Art Expert?

I think it's number of posts &/or contributer points.

On the forums, I believe it is related entirely to # of posts. Like many other message board titles, it means exactly diddly.
