Hey Phriends,

Could really use some advice. Here's what happened:

I sold a print for $1,200 on eBay. After the buyer received the print, he contacted me through eBay saying it had tape on the back of the print. I replied that I it did not and sent back photo evidence proving that it did not and was packed properly. I asked him to provide photos and he never replied.
I received a fake copy of the print in the mail about a month later.
The buyer filed an item not as described claim through PayPal the day before the 60 day cutoff.
Two weeks later he filed a claim with his credit card company.
PayPal told me they would work with the credit card company to fight the case for me. Somehow I lost the case despite the fact that I have proven that the buyer is a fraud and eBay has confirmed that he has filed countless PayPal claims and done similar shady things.
I just appealed the case with PayPal to no avail.

My account is now $1,200 in arrears, so I'm out money and a $1,200 poster. PayPal said I can't file a claim and so did eBay. Do I have any recourse or can douchebags just get away with scamming people for $1,200 nowadays because of buyer protection?!

damn eBay is sketchy as hell nowadays. Was looking at a poster earlier today and the seller had an 86.5 rating! How is that fudge even allowed? :?

Sorry to hear about this. I hope someone can chime in with helpful advice. Good member getting screwed here..

Name n shame or GTFO.

P.S. I don't believe Ebay or Paypal confirmed that he has scammed a bunch of other people. Otherwise, a) he'd be bant b) that would be violating their strict privacy rules c)I've dealt with a scamming douche before and neither Ebay or Paypal would provide any information about their investigation of said individual

My thoughts exact. Also, PP is no longer 60 days to file.

eBay is terrible for years; they always side with the buyer. I've been burned by buyers & their system won't even allow me to post negative feedback. How can you alert others if eBay won't?
