Display whole collection on single page?

Somewhere I saw a post about how to display your whole collection on one page, but I can't find it. Can someone refresh my memory?

Add &ipp=somenumber (items per page) to the url. Eg. &ipp=1000
So it goes...

That's awesome. Anyway to make it stay that way or do you have to add that to the URL each time?
