How to add avatar?

Users with "noob" status (i.e. their posts are still being moderator approved), have limited access to profile features. Once the mods are sure you're not like a spam bot or whatever, they'll promote you to a regular user and you'll have the option available.

Your image must also be 80x80 pixels, and no more than 25kb in size.
You can find sites that will resize your chosen avatar pic for you.

Do i have to contact them to be enabled as a regular user?

Nah. Just post as usual, and after you've demonstrated you're not some spam bot, they'll update your status.

Its automatic after a few moderated posts are approved.

Just curious how long this Newb status lasts? I've been a member since November, have completed three transactions in terms of my payment to others, yet still cannot add my own avatar.

I'm not a bot either
