Hello,

i'm not usually one to post bad things about members or anything like that but I've been struck with a dilemma.

I've purchased a print from someone on here.. not mentioning a name just yet! However, it's been a case of take my money and not reply! I usually buy from one guy in the US and thats it I've traded so much with him, funds are passed through PayPal on friends and family, me being me, forgot to think about that and sent this dude the same...

Seem's to be i'm totally stuck now and out of pocket as paypal can't follow it up..

Not sure why i'm even posting this to be honest as nothing can be done! A good reminder, if you're sending funds, check it's being sent by goods and services unless you completely trust the recipient.

How long has it been?

Some people have had success having paypal open a dispute on a gift transaction if you call them.

only been two weeks so still could ring them up and ask, I've received a few emails of them asking me to try and request them money through Paypal see if that does anything!

it's annoying yes, but it was a Christmas present.. that just makes it that little bit more annoying!

Is the member reading the PMs?

Not sure what the best angle is to take with Paypal to open a dispute on a gifted payment, so hopefully someone else will chime in who has had success. If this person is a known scammer and has had complaints before, I think Paypal will be more willing to help.

Yep reading all the PM's just not replying.. I don't really want it to happen to others so is there a way of getting the user removed?

First issue i've had like this! didn't think it would be that common anymore, especially on a art discussion forum!

Members are rarely banned for scamming.

Best you can do is name them.

It is recommended that when you are transacting with someone new that you search the forum before hand. There are some consolidated scammer threads as well that link all the individual reports.

Well the Username is: Hakson

Like i said, since I've dealt with certain people, who've always gave there best to supply all the tracking info and when it's sent and such i never gave it a thought!

I could be totally wrong and he might just be very busy, But a quick PM wouldn't do any harm!
