Similar question, what happens with pm's to multiple people? Does it leave the outbox once one person has read it? Or once everyone has? I'm guessing it's once one person has read it (since when it's in the outbox you still have the option of editing/deleting it). Just curious, Thanks

Hello. I just joined EB and I had sent a PM to a member, but noticed the message stayed in the outbox folder instead of going to the sent messages folder. I'm just trying to figure out if my message went through.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thank You,
Milan

Once its read by the person you sent it to it will go to the sent messages.

I already have one thread with stupid questions and got answers to some of them thanks to dougr. Thought I'd try some another Q that has me confused today.

When I send PMs, they seem to just sit in my "Outbox", although one went into "Sent messages". Why are some seemingly stuck in the Outbox? Is there something else I need to do to "send" them?? I am trying to contact people who recently said they were looking for the posters I asked about selling in my other Help thread up here (I think I am allowed to do that, but am not positive - I asked about that in my other thread but it was not answered so I decided to take a chance on contacting some people).

THANKS,

- jon -

Hi!
The pm will move to the sent box "after" the recipient reads it. If it's still in the outbox...the recipient has not read the pm yet.

The pm hangs in the outbox until its read. Once the recipient reads the pm, then moves to the sent folder.

Thanks!

That is pretty cool - actually makes sense - but I never thought of that (am used to thinking of emails like in Outlook Express where the OUTBOX is a temporary stop until you hit the SEND button). Duh!

this is funny... (retard part).

anyway, your outbox will show you all the emails you have sent but haven't been read by the recipient(s)...

your sent messages are the ones that have been read...

hope this solves the problem...
