just added a sale to: http://www.expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/142191

it sold for $400 + $79 shipping, so i entered:
Price: 400
Shipping: 79
then it shows up in the price history as 400 ***shipped.

so, should be 479 ***shipped (or 400 excluding shipping).

thanks, mods. you rule!

Orange - http://expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/166412
Red - http://expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/69369
Blue - http://expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/76827

I think that the orange "Peace At Last" should be its own entry, and I submitted it as such, however it was merged with the red and blue editions. The "orange edition" is a 5-layer serigraph whereas the red and blue editions are giclees, they're different sizes, the paper is different, the "orange edition" was released by Yo! whereas the red and blue editions were released by POW/Santa's Ghetto.

The rule of thumb at EB is that we try to consolidate editions of prints with the exact same title and exact same artwork under the same listing. The year the artwork was created was 2007. The Orange may have been created as an edition at a later date, but the original artwork/print was done in 2007 and all editions of that artwork go with the same listing (Red, Blue, Orange).

The edition you asked to be added has the exact same name as an existing listing. It has the exact same artwork. The size and technique might be different (screen print instead of giclee), but the individual edition has places for those and they ARE described differently in the new edition or can be updated to have the correct data. By your definition, the Red and Blue should be separate listings as well since they have different sizes. That would be very inaccurate for how we try to keep editions together.

You'll see that there are OGs (e.g. paintings or other mixed media originals) which also have prints made from them. Most are giclees, which get listed as "Giclee" editions under the original work.

Sometimes a screen print is made with several variants of the same artwork (different colors, different paper) and those are listed under the original artwork as well. Sometimes they add goddamn teacups and throw pillows as editions (I wish I was kidding about that).

One minor difference is that when art prints are made from gig posters, those generally have a different title (see Justin Hampton's catalog for lots of examples) and they get their own listing.

Can you find counter-examples? I can probably find a bunch related to a series of prints and sets and individual listings and uncuts and all that...we do the best we can.

No system is perfect but that's why it should be combined based on our "rules of thumb."

Kozik's "Evil Tea Time" is pretty badass.

Gremlins 11 Taylor - Variant
Last sale of $480 should not count. It was signed by the actor Billy Galligan.

Makes sense; I appreciate the explanation. In that case, the orange version should not be attributed to Santa's Ghetto and the manufacturer should be Yo! Depot.
