Count me out of secret santa and the obey calendar. My wallet has taken a beating recently thanks to moving house. It's unfortunate because both initiatives are good ideas.

No worries. Might have to skip Secret Santa this year. No big stress.
Congrats on the house move - buy a new place or rent?

Hey fellow Aussies,
Just Thought I would drop a line and say Gday.
Im relatively new collector in Perth. I collect mainly limited movie prints but have some gig prints and originals. Really love all kinds of Art. Loving EB at the moment. Always looking for new pieces as i primarily collect to display.
TOTM in Perth have done some of my framing and that will continue as they do excellent work.
Cheers

Just renting. The Sydney property market is too tough for a first time buyer like me. Though I should be able to save enough for a deposit by the time I'm about 270 years old.DonPiano wrote:No worries. Might have to skip Secret Santa this year. No big stress.

Would any of you guys be able to recommend a good and somewhat cheap courier company?
The story is that the property I work for (hotel) has been taken over two months ago and I used to have my mail sent to work because it's convenient and more secure than my building. But today I learned that one parcel from the US (package) has been sent under the old company name, and thus sent to the HQ of the company in Sydney. So I have a Xmas package waiting for me in Sydney and am not sure how to get it safe to me (country Victoria near Melbourne). I'd be acting as an individual (not a company), can you guys recommend anything? I've read some pretty horrid reviews of couriers companies on internet and am not sure what to go with.
Thanks!

Thank you boys and my apologies for the delay, I was away for a few days (work).
The parcel is in the CBD I'm guessing, 264 George Street. I'll see with the company you recommended if they can pick it up right after Xmas.

Happy new year all.
Lets hope the AUD gets a bit stronger in 2016 (which is doubtful), because 2015 was a bit quiet on the art buying front. The low AUD helped with the occasional sale though.

^^ - Definitely looks like they got their inspiration from Northam in WA and wanted to get in on the big murals on silos action.
