Very curious to see what comes out of this membership.

Hmm. Doesn't interest me, but if they said there was a Stout/Ansin/Moss exclusive print included with the membership, they'd sell a thousand of them at double what they're charging now.

The last time the Drafthouse did a membership, it did come with a Stout (Remember the Alamo). Those were the days!

Did anyone join this Alliance? I did -- I figured for $12.50 per movie with a soundtrack it's a pretty good deal. Anyways -- I asked about the Bullhead soundtrack and the response was "there are no soundtracks included in the Alliance membership." I hope the guy was just wrong ... but I'm a bit skeptical about it already.

Update: Soundtracks are included with some movies. I was correct about Bullhead. I was just sent a link to the MP3s, so it's a pretty good deal again. :D

Would love to pull the trigger on this, but the only thing that suits my style has been Bullhead, thus far.

I haven't seen Bullhead yet, but I loved The FP and Klown was hilarious. I hope they can keep up the streak...

Found Four Lions far from the boundary pushing comedy it was purported to be. There is no way I'll be able to last through The FP's shtick. Klovn was funny, and will probably grow a bit more on me.

Bullhead was an above average film with the second best performance of last year, an incredible introductory role. Schoenaerts better blow up.

I signed up last week as well. A little confused though, is this a life-time membership? I guess they are still trying to figure out the details and perks. I'm just happy to join though and support the best cinema in the country.

I believe it is a membership until you receive the next 10 releases on DVD/blu-ray. Mine started with Bullhead, so I have 9 to go...

Getting close to two months since I signed up and I haven't gotten so much as an email from them... definitely nothing in the mail. Anyone else still in the dark after becoming a member?

I received Klown in the mail today (my second Drafthouse Alliance bluray). It could be that based on when you joined, this might be your first. If you don't get it soon, I'd email them to see what's up.

Can't wait to watch Klown again and introduce my friends to it -- hilarious!

Drafthouse Alliance is great! For Fantastic Fest they had a little gathering in the Highball and filled us in on all sorts of plans for their releases and upcoming announcements on films they have acquired. They gave us the next release early (The Ambassador) and autographed posters for Wake In Fright and Miami Connection. They have a movie trailer release coming up and that was the reason behind that URL link in the envelope they mailed out (download of two trailers). They also plan to make a bluray/dvd cover for Four Lions that has the spine number so all their releases can match up.
