I can't wait! As much as Tarantino worships Spaghetti Westerns ... this most certainly should deliver!

Just downloaded the soundtrack. Looks like Tarantino used some old Ennio stuff...which I love.

I was hoping QT would get Ennio to compose/record a new score for this.

Didn't see this thread before. I saw this a few weeks back. Definitely awesome and can't wait to go check it out again. Ranks high on the QT scale for me (I seem to prefer his last two films as much as any of them, but I am a big Spaghetti Western fan). My biggest concern was the casting of Foxx, but he KILLS it and no one else would have worked right. Waltz is flat out magnetic again. There is something about the way he speaks that melds so well with Tarantino's dialog. Leo and Sam Jackson are both amazing as well.

As you can tell, recommended for sure. My only nitpick is you can definitely tell the change in editors for him. I also think time factored into it, but the editing just feels different this go round.

Inigo Montoya: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.

How would you say the editing feels different, if you can elaborate after only one watch (I'm assuming you've only seen it once). I am terribly psyched for this film!

I will definitely need to see it again before I can articulate better. They had to cut a lot and worked right up to the wire, so I suspect if Menke was still alive the whole process would have been smoother as would the end result on the screen (it would have been tough either way). Nothing feels rightly wrong (imo), but you can just tell there was a change. If QT sticks with Raskin, I am sure they will develop a good chemistry (he has no reason to not work with him in the future).

The first time I saw it, I was just stoked to be seeing it... so I will put my thinking hat on for subsequent viewings. :P
