If Looper is half as good as Brick it will be amazing, I did not like The Brothers Bloom however.

Looper is one to watch though I think I'm the only one I know who is still not completely sold on Rian Johnson as a filmmaker, I like his visual aesthetic and writing but I didn't love Brick or the Brother's Bloom. That being said I would easily put JGL in my top 5 personal favorite actors. Anyone who needs evidence of this please see Brick or Mysterious Skin immediately. :D

JGL spent an evening in Lawrence, Kansas to research his role in mysterious skin. Spent most of the evening partying with my cousin and myself while filming everything with a little handycam, true story.

Probably my favorite book ever. Movie is either going to be really good, or really bad. Also when I read the book I didn't quite picture everything the way it appears in the movie...

The trailer has me intrigued... The choice of music for the opening of the trailer really annoys me. As did the music choice in the Gangster squad trailer.

To those who might gripe about the "look" of the film including the bright colors and contemporary music, what did you expect? It's Lurhman. That being said, it's my all time favorite novel and I really do hope Baz doesn't piss all over it. Lastly, does Carey Mulligan do anything for you guys? Supremely talented but she's no ScarJo.

Its just the music in the trailers I'm sure, but it just seems lazy to go hip hop in relation to those 2 films. Maybe it broadens interest in the prospective audience but just doesn't sit right for me.

Here is my review of The Avengers. It has been posted no where.

Spoilers...

At the start of the Avengers, you may wonder: "Who is this pirate man and why does he have a secret underground lab?" You'll soon come to realize that his name is Nick. Apparently he does not have superb powers beneath his eye patch and the eye patch is the same throughout the movie. Also there is a glow in the dark cube that a rockstar guy with a power stick steals because he is mad at his dad and he gets help from the Hurt Locker guy who traded in his IED disposal skills for a quiver that Link would be proud of.

Then there's a battle because the cube has powers to make a big hole in the sky that snakes and other chariot randoms come out of.

War Machine is not in the movie because apparently he was too busy.

I give it 4.79 out of 5.
