All Encompassing Film Review Thread

Film flames, episode episodes. Post lifetime is 1 year.

Postby finneganm on Thu May 31, 2012 5:10 pm

The purpose of this thread is to allow anyone to post up movie reviews they have written/read that they feel are spot on, and that would garner the interest of the cinema loving crowd on this forum for discussion. This goes for any film. Want to share what some jerk wrote about Ghostbusters back in the day, post it up. Wanna get a pitchfork and torch crowd together to march on the french film reviewer who is bashing Prometheus, post away. If you have your own review and you want to share, make it happen.

Pretty important: If you are going to post up something spoiler related: give appropriate warnings please/highlight actual spoilers in bright yellow in order to make it difficult to read on accident.

Easiest way to avoid this would be to post a link to the review itself, as opposed to copying it and posting in here.

LOL. Fiiiiiine. Very old blog to reviews I wrote as a hobby: http://billygreviews.wordpress.com Again very old, but yeah. And as you can see, I stopped in 2010 because the first few movies I saw were complete shit.

I write for CollegeMovieReview.com but haven't posted anything up lately myself since SXSW, my next assignment is Safety Not Guaranteed since I missed it then. Don't wanna be a view count whore so If you wanna read anything I've put up just visit it and look for Orlando under writers. That being said, glad this thread is started and instead of posting links I think I will just give my two cents in shorthand rather than making you have to skim through my stuff. Oh yeah and if anyone wants any heads up about films in theaters I also work at a movie theater up in Round Rock. Yeah I know a little old for that gig but hey still in college.

P.S Agree with Dr. Scott about Dark Shadows and MIB, still can't decide which was the bigger time suck.

I can't get past the makeup on JGL.

Pretty psyched about Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises, and Moonrise Kingdom
