Much better than She's All That. That's for sure.

I loved it. It's not an easy watch for sure, but it's a great film. If it helps though, my favourite performance of all time (yep, all time) is Joaquin Phoenix in Two Lovers.

watched it last night, holy shite that was the saddest most infuriating thing i've ever seen...i couldn't even describe it to my work colleague's today without welling up

BLUE RUIN. Really really good flick. In the 80s there was a short golden period of noirish, low-budget and/or indie b-movie thrillers starring talented unknowns (at the time) like THE STEPFATHER, DEAD CALM, BLOOD SIMPLE, etc. This 2013 flick is their spiritual successor. If you like any of those flicks (or contemporary flicks like WINTER'S BONE), BLUE RUIN is for you. Solid, simple revenge story with great characters. Effectively told with less dialogue than DRIVE. Highly recommended for crime thriller fans.

I've been watching horror films all weekend. Re watched you're next on netflix and hell raiser 2 :pint: You're next is a ton of fun for those who haven't seen it. Definitely recommend it.

Blue Ruin is one of my favorite recent films for sure. the dude also directed another movie called Murder Party if you haven't seen it definitely check it out, i watch every halloween.
