The scene after the credits had me laughing my ass off. Just awesome. What a fun movie, I can't wait to see it again.

Watch it quick before it gets taken down again...

Funny thing, they filmed this scene 2 days after the world premiere. Chris Evans had a beard so that's why he covers his face.

Fun movie. My girl was delighted when Iron Man makes the crack referring to Hawkeye as Legolas from Lord of the RIngs. I sometimes forget what a dork she is and that reminder made me laugh. Glad I saw it in 2D. Good looking film and I think 3D would have worn me out.

Very interesting and plausible theory regarding the ending :coold:

Quote:
One Marvel fan's theory is that Loki was set up by Thanos, that Thanos knew that Loki would fail, and that Thanos could mentally get the cosmic cube to do his bidding via opening a portal.

Look, if he can open portals through the Cube from the other side of the galaxy to let Loki sneak in, don't you think he already commands the Cube? If he really wanted the Cube, he would've just stepped into SHIELD's JDEM lab through that portal he created, splattered Fury & Co. to oblivion, and taken the Cube back home to Oz. Instead of sending someone like Loki on a mission that he knew was doomed to fail.

He set Loki up. That's pretty clear. He knew Loki would fail, and he knew that the Cube would wind up back in Asgard. Which means, as Captain Marvel has said above, that Thanos is clearly after something in Asgard.

Given that the Infinity Gauntlet was already teased in the Thor movie, and given Thanos' long and storied history with that shiny glove, it makes perfect sense that this is *exactly* what he's been after all along.

It's not a hard train of thought to follow, folks. Makes perfect sense."

Good post JMX! I was thinking the same thing about the Infinity Gauntlet, but that short read really helps put it into perspective. I also think that Thanos was using Loki to test the strength of the Avengers.

As a comics fan, I loved this movie. Whedon's writing was close to perfect for this. The great one-liners and good pacing through the film with laughs in the right spots to give a release from a tension scene (Loki: I'm still listening...), or a come down from something else (Hulk smacking Thor). First great use of Hulk that I've seen in a movie (I have removed Ang Lee's Hulk from memory, Norton tried, but just didnt get it right IMO), Ruffalo nailed it and im glad he's signed on for more appearances. I love the setup for Thanos for the future, and the teasing of the Infinity Gauntlet in Thor just seals up what is to come. Marvel needs to keep Whedon involved with this "universe" of pictures for as long as he wants to stay in it, IMO.
