Episode 5 was on in the UK last night and was enjoyable again. It lacked the drama of ep4 but it was still well worth watching.
I actually really enjoyed how this episode sets up drama to come for Winterfell and the Starks. With Theon Greyjoy joining in with his father and sister to earn a place in the family his assignment of attacking a fishing village to draw forces out of Winterfell is enormous! Having Winterfell unguarded and Theon playing a sinister role, considering how he was a ward of Winterfell, has major complications of backstabbing. When Robb Stark hears that Winterfell is unguarded, or I assumed attacked based on the conversation b/w Theon and Yara, he will be forced to draw his forces from the war letting Tywin finally getting the upper hand? Also if Robb comes to find Winterfell attacked/occupied or family dead or imprisoned he will have huge vengeance towards Theon, his brother of sorts, and the Greyjoys.
Also Catelyn vying for an allegiance with Remly and not Stannis may be a difficult hurdle to overcome now.
Tyrion making yet another powerplay over Cersei for the production of the pots with the 'burning fluid' is nice foreshadowing. Even his mention that the "king is a lost cause" when watching the priest talk to the crowd implies to me he is preparing for total control of King's Landing?
