Ok, this is the place for it. SInce we are getting people mad in the Mondo thread, this is the thread where you can talk about how great of a movie JP is or how great a print would be. THis is where you can also talk about it if you hate it, then you can trash it here too. This is the Jurassic Park love hate thread. Lets have fun while we wait for a Stout Jurassic Park

JP is a fun popcorn movie. It has its highs and lows, but by and large it's just a rollercoaster ride of a movie.

Plus it's got Samuel drymounting Jackson in it in a "blink and you'll miss it" role.

You have to take it for what it is, its a summer blockbuster thrill ride. I am not saying its gone with the wind, but I think it is really entertaining and loved it when it first came out and still like watching it today, so I agree with you guys.

This shows how shitty movies are in general these days. No, not JP. But Gone With the Wind was a populist piece of entertainment AND seen as a huge chick flick in its day. And now we consider it a masterpiece. From Clark Gable's IMDB page... "He disliked his most famous film Gone with the Wind (1939), which he regarded as "a woman's picture.""

Anyways, I like JP. Not in my top 25 or anything (prolly not 50), but it is great adventure and sci-fi all in one. Great cast, groundbreaking FX, great score... just all around fun time at the movies.

Team JP... did you hear when they were making JP4 with the genetically altered Raptor super soldiers? JP1 was lighting in a bottle... all later attempts, not so much.

Inigo Montoya: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.

Yeah I heard, Joe Johnston said after he finishes Capt America, he is going to work on a new trilogy, I heard the rumor of the raptors, just hope Speilberg or Crichtons family won't let that happen.

I am definitely a JP fan, though the later films were only so-so. I can quote a good portion of the film (dork alert!), and I am currently humming the music in my head. ;) My brother, sis-in-law, and nephew came to visit me over Thanksgiving last year, and my nephew decided that out of all my movies (including some "kids" movies) all he wanted to watch was Jurassic Park.

My plan to corrupt him is going swimmingly...

Well there is a movie coming out this summer with Priests in guerilla warfare against vampires ... why can't we have one with Monks battling Raptor Super Soldiers?
