Off to a good start.
Wanda: I can't stand people. I hate them. Do you hate them?
Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.

TV-Series
Stargate Atlantis

I watched all of the Stargate movies, but none of the TV Series episodes. Gonna' binge Atlantis while working in Illustrator...maybe I'll get inspired to do a poster.

Enjoying Waco so far. Last night's ep was intense. Buncha dudes from Boardwalk Empire are in it and Kitsch is tolerable.

You have terrible taste. S2 was roughly 17x better than S1. I would say Leftovers season one was good. Seasons two & three were fantastic. Some of the best television ever made.

I was honestly rereading some reviews of the show this week. I hadn’t thought of the show in some time and something sparked an interest again. I consistently find myself reading reviews of things I thoroughly enjoy, music/film/literature (although this usually happens soon thereafter). Hopefully I gain some new insight by reading the review, but most of the time it’s either a masturbatory validation of my own opinion, or a realization that the reviewer was a Philistine.

In this case it was purely the former. If you’d like to feel better about enjoying the Leftovers, read the AV Club reviews...

Still need to watch that fudge. Never did get through the slog of the first few eps.

S1 of the leftovers was great. Gotta rewatch S2/3. Some of Hulu original shows seem to rip the Leftovers style/themes. Particularly "Hand Maid's tale", which seems to me to be based on "Children of Men" based on the plot and the way the title appears.

Bah. The good seasons of Mad Men have little bits of corn in its stool that are better written than S2.

S1 was alright, but I'm just not buying what these writers are selling anymore. A hyper emotional soundtrack does not drama make. Overall it plays to me like a new-agey borderline religious propaganda deal on par with the worst of Shyamalan's giibberish (who for me got away with it because he could shoot film like a mofo). Mainly though it was just boring as death.

I was joking with my wife that putting away the DVD, losing it for a minute before remembering where I put it, renting and enjoying S3 of 30 Rock, not sleeping well for no good reason, and returning it could be an episode.

Mad Men is another really overrated show.
