Speaking of amazon, dead ringers was really great.

P.S. Watched the rig and thought it was pretty meh compared to silo even with common's awful acting.

Probably said the same thing here before, but Reservation Dogs is fantastic. Soundtrack rocks too.

Yep, really came out of nowhere. A group of folks that don't have many modern stories about them

Telemarketers doc on HBO has been a bit of a trip, Patrick J. Pespas is like a more whacked out version of Mike Schank.

Beacon 23 is based on a short story collection by Hugh Howey, who wrote the source material for Silo. Beacon 23 premieres November 12, 2023 on MGM+.

TV?! I remember TV. The only shows I get these days are Peppa pig, bluey, and octonauts ( all of which I enjoy, don't get me wrong). The octonauts movies are especially good.

I'll finish "dead to me" some day, I hope

I haven't had cable tv in years. I had the least expensive package... just a bunch of 24/7 news. That's the last thing I want to watch - especially these days.

There are some good kids' shows. And there are some absolute garbage kids shows. Bluey is pretty good (my kids have outgrown it, but I hang with nieces and nephews quite a bit). My favorite from when my kids were young (up until 6 or so) was Bob the Builder (the old stop motions ones - the new animated ones are trash). Good writing, well-acted, season+ long story arcs. Cat in the Hat and Curious George were good for a while, but got tired. Everything else I saw that was geared to the young ones was garbage (almost all Disney Jr., for example).

Once older, you have to get the kids into Phineas and Ferb on Disney. It's very good. The creators say they didn't make a show for kids, they just didn't exclude them. This feels very true. My kids loved it, but I'm sure they didn't understand the episode based on Run Lola, Run they same way I did, for example. This was the only show I'd be able to sit through regularly and actually enjoy it.

Lastly, say what you will, but My Little Pony (whatever version of it that was around in 2015ish), was also very good. Good writing, more challenging emotionally than "everything is always perfect and good guys always win," and good original songs ("good" given the context).

Old tv series 'Under the Dome'. I don't remember how it ends, so worth a rewatch.
