Last two episodes were fantastic. Particularly Stretch's reaction at the end of last nights (same situation as Dennis Wise from the Wire). Hope this show doesn't go the way of that show "Vinyl".

Glad to see Anwan Glover aka Slim Charles on a show again. Dude was one of the best characters on the wire.

How was this fudge? Didn't hear very positive things and never ended up watching it since it didn't get renewed.

I dont think HBO would cancel a David Simon show. I mean the Wire had terrible ratings although amazing critical reviews and they let that go 5 seasons.

He has a great scene in last Sunday's episode. He was one of my favorite characters from the Wire.

This show was over cast and self indulgent imo, I usually enjoy Bobby Cannavale as he was great on Louie and especially Boardwalk Empire, didn't make through much of Vinyl.

The Deuce is definitely my favorite show out right now - fun and easy to watch, tons of colorful and interesting characters. Even if what's happening isn't all that exciting sometimes, the atmosphere is intoxicating and fun to be a part of.

I finally had a chance to check out season 1 and damn it was STELLAR. As far as first season's go it's up there with Simon's other shows IMO. Dig that slow burn with some great characters.

Stoked to check out Season 2 next weekend..

rewatched last week, better second time around. I felt Method Man and Maggie G have one of the best moments in the season imo (ep. 1.5 "what kind of bad"). Haven't seen new trailer but i am looking forward to the next season.

Show was decent for a first season. Entertaining to see that era of filth portrayed and the acting holds up pretty well, although Maggie G and Franco's characters are all a bit much, as per usual. The rest of the cast's antics keep me watching. Though if I have to see Maggie G's pancake tata's one more time I'm gonna have to just shut it down. Will probably give next season a go...

Season two off to a decent start despite my loathing of that era (miss the old theme tho)
