American Gods (TV Series)

Film flames, episode episodes. Post lifetime is 1 year.

I guess we should keep this to just TV series talk so no book spoilers.

Really enjoyed the first episode. Some subpar CGI but thought cast was good - I could probably watch Ian McShane read the dictionary. Some of the dialogue was a bit stiff, but maybe that's just staying close to the source. Fuller wasn't kidding about the blood/gore either - I guess network was holding him back some on Hannibal. Excited to see them expand the world over the coming weeks. :pint:

Loved the book. Looking for a hookup to watch on the Starz app. Can repay/thank you with posters/stickers/handbills? Let me know.

Enjoyed the first episode. That arrow scene at the beginning was crazy. As said above Ian McShane could read a menu and sound cool. I definitely caught a little Al Swearengen in his cadence periodically.

An unlucky leprechaun, a gay genie, and a goddess who is.... consuming people? Not sure what to make of anything so far, but its definitely interesting.

Loved the interaction between Browning and that bird from Nurse Jackie. Reminded me a lot of An American Werewolf in London.

Crispin Glover was really great in the last episode and Gillian Anderson continues to shine

Really enjoy the show. Have very little idea what is going on most of the time, but listening to Ian McShane and the cinematography keep me watching.

Solid first season. Fuller is da man and I didn't find it all that hard to follow. Loved all da Lanegan tunes. He's way underutilized in TV and movies.
