Saw a lot of good movies at Fantastic Fest. Out of 37 feature-length films I loved 15 of them and really liked 25. I'll post an article soon with my rankings.

Here's my recap of the Fest that touches on the events (and the drama):

Trying to go to the cinema more and less downloading.
Went to IT and Wind River recently. Really enjoyed both.

Would you recommend this to someone who didn't get the hype for Bone Tomahawk?

Probably not. BRAWL is a slow burn, too. I'd say even more than BT. But hot damn, BRAWL has some brutal moments.

The Meyerowitz Stories Is my favorite movie of the year. If you’re a Baumbach fan, it’s a homerun. Dustin Hoffman is a national treasure.

Need to watch this.

Can co sign on Brawl. If you don't like slow burns, I would avoid though. It takes awhile to get to the brutal stuff. I loved it though.

Wind River was solid, Taylor Sheridan needs to keep writing stories :pint:

He's writing Soldado (Sicario 2) and has a series in the works (another western).

Anyone seen The Killing of a Sacred Deer? Gonna try to catch it tomorrow.

Saw it a couple months ago. Darkly disturbing. Darkly humorous. I loved it - even more than The Lobster and Dogtooth.

Caught Blade Runner 2049 a couple days ago. Incredible.!!! Knocked mother! out of place as favourite film of the year. And very glad I got an IMAX viewing.
