Another thing of note, the lineup of trailers before Logan was pretty amazeballs. If most of these movies live up to their hype, 2017 could be pretty great for Hollywood blockbuster types. Big 'if', of course.

Thank you Logan. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are so good. :notworthy:

Yep logan was by far the best of the x-men/wolverine movies and right up there among the best superhero movies. Could have stood to be about 15 mins shorter IMO but very enjoyable.

He means the new scifi movie called Life. It's probably amazing if you've never seen a scifi movie before.

Kong Skull Island had some nice setup and fun monster fights. Otherwise very silly, stupid and ultra stylized. Tons of posing shots that seemed to be there just so an artist could eventually trace them for a poster.

Kong really worked when King Kong was on screen, which is fortunately often. Otherwise Skull Island was utterly forgettable and a little too trying hard to be 70s. There are some very cool set pieces and effects. I like the design of Kong as more of some monster out of time and less just a big gorilla. That was always my major gripe with Jackson's movie. Enjoyed watching it, but wish it had somehow been a little more compelling. Godzilla was a much better movie despite less monstering and mostly just as forgettable humans.

Went to an advance screening of Goon: Last of the Enforcers last night, Baruchel (wrote AND directed this time around) was in attendance for an intro and a little Q&A. Fun stuff, if you enjoyed the first one I think you will enjoy this one too.
