Was this Max's brother? If so, other than to remind us people were less accepting three decades ago, I concur.

S2 was just as good as S1 for me. Steve is my favorite. Want to see more of Murry next season. Would love to see him dive in to the government cover-up/conspiracy angle. Maybe that is what will push the scope further outside of Hawkins going forward.

Steve's character is really good, I root for him over the other guy. Other wouldn't even take the gun, remember that?

Can't remember the last time there was this level of disparity between two seasons of the same show. S1 was terrific on every level and S2 is so poorly written and executed, its downright bizarre.

We went from a simple yet profound story where we discover things along with the characters to a meandering and self indulgent plot line where we are usually several steps ahead of each character. Easily Prequel-level awful in terms of quality decline from the original.

My hope is that the sub plots and loose ends are a setup to introduce new dynamics in season 3. The "pointless characters" may return to fill larger rolls next time cthulu finds his way back into Hawkins. We'll see :pint:

They managed to make the main characters from S1 pointless which was hard to do following their first outing.

My biggest takeaway from S.2 is that Nancy actress can play drunk better than most adult actors.

Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.

The way I see it teh only way to make a third season would be to have "08 +11and co. hunt Brenner" spin off with a Hawkins B story. It's possible, but id rather they just leave it.

Loved season 2. I think the creators said they wanted to do 4-5 seasons? Tons of setup for future storylines. 11 probably hooks back up with 8 in season 3 to hunt down that hit-gone-wrong revelation, maybe bump into some other numbers along the way. Or 8 takes umbrage with how 11 bailed and we get the rainbow room rumble.

If they kill Hopper, I'll cancel my Netflix subscription.

I'm with you, except for GOT I'm tired of series killing everyone. Let the good ones live please.

I enjoyed it despite it being a little unfocused this year. Thought the performances were all solid - Nancy and Steve and Hopper being the standouts. Story felt more like clean-up of the last season and maybe a little board setting for things to come.

Season 1 had the advantage of everything being a mystery.

Although, my kids and wife all said they liked this season better.

One last episode to go. I thought the episode in Chicago with Eleven was a bit of a throwaway, but other than that it’s a blast.
