Tried to put off Manchester by the Sea for as long as possible, but finally gave in. Prepared myself for the main storyline, then it was amped up to a point of no return.

Good grief! I need a chaser of pick-me-up right quick. :(

it just brought me so much joy and laughter. and no one saw it.

it's been a great go to cheer up movie of the last few months.

What didn't you like about it?

It's a very rough film emotionally. I've had a few people call it 'sadness porn'.

Yes, it is exhausting. I just think the film amps it up to an impossible level of grief, but offers nothing. Hard to fully explain, without "ruining" it for others. lol

I have....thoughts...but yeah. Hard to completely go into without spoiling big chunks of the movie.
