If season 3 can give us an episode or two on the level of 'Lens' or 'International Assassin', then I'm willing to declare The Leftovers in my all time top 5.
I couldn't be more hyped.

With all the praise this show is getting in here I might start watching before it ends.

International Assassin ranks as possibly my favorite episode of TV.

I had heard mixed reviews from friends beforehand, but I thought it was great. It's dark, and can require some patience. But it's easily one of my favourite TV shows from the last 5-10 years.

The acting, soundtrack and basically everything else is world-class, but the goddamn plot really irks me at times. It tries a little too hard to really leave everything open-ended. It's a frustrating watch because I love everything about it except for the part that matters most.

Didn't know this was the final season. Hope that means something resembling answers. Probably not though.

I started this when it first aired and gave up after 3 episodes because I found it a bit dull. Then I started hearing all the talk of S2 being amazing and started it again - I'm so glad I did. The 2nd half of the first season and entirety of the second are absolute class. Can't wait for the new one.

My experience, binge-watching each season as it came out on blu-ray, is that the show is amazing. I can understand that watching one ep at a time, weekly, might have been a frustrating watch, especially during the first season.

I do wish the show and story could have lasted for a 5-season duration. But it sounds as though Lindelof and co. might've only had a few-seasons run in mind from the beginning.

This and Fargo are the only series currently airing that continue to truly surprise me with it's story and character turns, while also keeping me deeply involved.

Can't wait for this season.
