Preacher on AMC

Film flames, episode episodes. Post lifetime is 1 year.

Watched the first two last night and having read and loved the comics, this finally felt like the adaptation the show should have been from the beginning. I completely understand the choice they made last year to have a sort of prequel season to get all the pieces in place, but these two episodes felt like the story was finally rolling and going where it needs to go.

They've had the absurdist feeling of the comics all along and it worked well in these two eps. They aren't right out of the roadmap of the comics either and I'm fine with that . . . doesn't have to follow the books issue-for-issue, but they "feel" like they could have been story-arcs from the comic on the way to some of the more major story points.

First 2 episodes were great. Hopefully they can keep up the pacing.

They filmed Season 2 here in NOLA. I talk to the director all the time - he's super nice. And I met the heavily-tattooed Scottish actor who plays the vampire (?) - not sure, haven't watched the show yet. I probably should.

Watching interviews with him, he almost seems to be the same guy in real life as the character he plays on the show

Kinda surprised there's still so little discussion about this show. It's one of the current shows I look forward to most every week, which really pains me because I can't stand Seth Rogen. Thankfully he doesn't insist on being in this show.

He's unbearable and unfunny (as are most of the movies he's in). Dats how.

P.S. Season 2 is almost over. Ya been doing too much e-coining it seems.

I think CodeBlue doesn't like him because he's one of them Jew fellas.

Personally, this show is one of the funniest on TV right now. I watched the comic con trailer and looks like Herr Star will keep that trend going.
