40 Frederick Wiseman docs are now available to stream on Kanopy. The docs are usually $30-$40 on DVD and until now that has been the primary way of watching them. Kanopy has partnerships with many Universities and libraries and you may be able to watch them free that way.

His newest is a 3 hr and 20 min doc called Ex Libris: The New York Public Library. I missed it at the theater, but as a fan of NYC, libraries and the work of Mr. Wiseman, I am very much looking forward to it. Ex Libris will hit Kanopy later this year after airing on PBS. I'm probably about to pony up $40 plus shipping because I want to see it before touring the library in May.

Last night I saw Nintendo Quest on Amazon Prime. It's not a great doc by any means (mediocre at best) but I still enjoyed it for what it was. If you grew up in the late 80's / early 90's you'll probably get some warm fuzzy's out of it.

I somehow missed Beware of Mr Baker back in 2012, and it’s pretty damn good if you like learning about the lives of drymounted up druggie rockstars, which I find fascinating.
