The Criterion Collection has announced that it will add five new titles to its Blu-ray catalog in June: John Waters' Female Trouble, Ingmar Bergman's The Virgin Spring, Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine, Victor Erice's El Sur, and Lino Brocka's Manile in the Claws of Light.

Virgin Spring is one of my all time favorites in the collection. Can't wait to grab that on Blu.

Will for sure be picking up Virgin Spring and El Sur.

For those interested - the pre-order for the blu ray of Joan of Arc (releasing tomorrow) is down to $19.80 on Amazon, slightly below the 50% mark.

The Criterion Collection has announced that it will add five new titles to its Blu-ray catalog in August: Ernst Lubitsch's Heaven Can Wait (1943), Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life (2011), Tomás Gutiérrez Alea's Memories of Underdevelopment (1968), Susan Seidelman's Smithereens (1982), and Robert M. Young's The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez (1982).
