Dig them all because it's what a portfolio should be, covering diff aspects and keysidewaysscott wrote:Sgt Pepper is the best of the bunch.
moments of the film.
LOVE Yellow Submarine, that film's absolutely brilliant!!
Would never get a film like that made nowadays and on any re-watch
it just blows you away just how well crafted and funny.
Beautiful messages in that film too, not dated at all, not just peace, but
art, expression and Love in the broadest sense. All delivered with no heavy hand-brilliant!

The set includes five 18″ x 24″ screenprints by Tom Whalen, all housed in a yellow portfolio. The regular version will have an edition of 797 and will cost $300. There will also be a variant set (different colorway) with an edition of 135 for $450, plus a third colorway (“Elite ’68, created with metallic inks) with an edition of 68 for $675.

Wow. I wish I dug the Beatles more. This is some of Tom's best composition yet. The 1st and 3rd prints are just flat out amazing looking.
The price point squeezes me out, but this is an insanely HUGE license for him to get his name and stamp on. Super happy for him.

By standards of what Beatle collectors are used to, prob on the tight side, they'll prob swarm these insanely as
that's supply for every Beatles nut in the world-that's one scary Biiig demographic!
US, Europe, Asia, Latin America, all are Beatle crazy, $300 ain't bad, art portfolios are expensive
for artists releasing multiple prints like that, those boxes cost dough when custom like that.
Favorite song from the film?
My vote: still gotta be Sgt Pepper when The Beatles just bring it to the Meanies!
But tough, loooove "All You Need Is Love."

I posted on that earlier, that's only $60/per, plus Tom's cool case, think some are gonna consider buying and breakinggonzo303 wrote:At that price its a pass.
these up to keep what the like, that too's pretty common with art portfolios where people just keep
what they dig and pop off the rest or sell/flip prints individually.

gotta differ there Gonzo, lot of players out there that come at this stuff from the moviegonzo303 wrote:I could be wrong but at that price point, I don't see this flipping.
poster field etc, they're just insane for YS, the older stuff is big dough for YS, even for lobby cards now,
+ this is licensed Beatles, that's huge and prob gets all those buyers in too.
in an earlier thread I said I could easily see these going to Christies and Heritage Auction House like the Slater Goldfingers
as the big houses are now really pushing contempt stuff like this in their collectibles fields/sales as it
generates a lot of dough for them and keeps their clientele changing with age.
