I was/am actually excited to get the prints I bought. I am a huge Beatles fan, and a fan of Tom Whalen. So no pretending here. :D

Good call.

But I think you missed the spirit of what I was trying to say. Let me choose another word.

"I don't know about the rest of the members, but I'm always a little wary of artists/galleries/etc. pushing their own wares on the discussion/release threads. Most everybody's got a right to be here, but it just seems a little...off."
KNEEL13 wrote:Maybe you don't know what shilling means. They never pretended to be anyone but the seller. :?

shill | sh il| informal
noun
an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

(I reserve the right to be wrong on this one.)

Thanks for making this happen DHM & Tom
Thank you for that, most appreciated on the support and do know Tom feels the same!

Oh, and I still reserve the right to be wrong about this sentiment. :D

People complain when artists and outlets dont engage the community, now people complain when they do. I dont understand

It's ok in my book, offering info, answering questions and thanking someone is cool. Be great to have that from all artists/printers/publishers.

I like it when I have a relationship with my dealer. It makes meeting them in bad parts of town easier.

I hope a lot of people think that the Elite is not worth the money. There are 2 on ebay right now for under cost. Happy to get another chance to snag one at/below cost. :D

One total eBay noob (we longtimers always gigglesnort at these jokers) is rolling the dice by starting his elite set's listing
at zero. Just how clueless is he? Check out his *latest* completed listings:

Just looked at some stuff on the Beatles website. The prints/posters for sale are quite pricey. Official merchandise is definitely not cheap.

Personally I think once the word gets onto the Beatles.com web site and everythings gone, the price of those Elite will soar. Only 68 with very few Beatles fans getting them is gonna drive prices up - no doubt about it
