I think your prints relate to what JC said on the comments thread?
microcosmicmedia wrote: - The Blackline is the more 'sparse' version, depicts only foreground (almost exactly the original illustration, cleaned up a bit for print of course). Much altered feel from the reg. ed., but I love how they came out for completely different reasons.
- The similar-looking image is a 'process' print, contains just the blackline and the main blue color layer.. part of a few curious experiments, maybe 3 different ones of 5 each.. i can relay exact numbers and some more pics when I get everything sorted out in the next day or so

Have a great weekend everyone, and thanks again-JC

So, if JC says that they're process prints, then how do they suddenly become there own 'variant' editions? Seem like process/test prints to me...

variants are experiments, no? horkey among others has plenty of prints missing colors and they're vairants. when i talked to him they were referred to as variants. not sure why it matters...call em whatever you want.

I'm going to guess he saw JC's post in the other thread and asked him if he was selling

Got mine yesterday and I must say, this thing is gorgeous! Got 2 handbills, too, nice! The level of detail is insane. I can't wait to see what JC does next.
