srdzevon, is that a blue WBG with yellow sky? That's the best one IMHO - my biggest Horkey ISO! Will be really hard to get one, though...

Thanks for the side by side pic - looking awesome!

Thanks murdock. It's not the blue with yellow sky, it's just the regular ol blue.

I'm lucky to have it. maybe the Japan steel gray would be the only one I'd rather have, but I aint complaining.

I was pretty underwhelmed with the packaging (was really looking forward to a wax seal). That said, the print itself is amazing. Due to the strange dimensions of the Cable print, I'm not sure where to hang it.

Great news on the European front: Customs sent me a notice, they are holding my Suite 2 :o

On the one hand, that means another extensive lunch break for a drive to the customs bureau, but on the other hand, that most likely means they haven't opened it yet (like my Suite 1 where they opened the wax seal "for me" ).

Tomorrow's the day!!!

Jools (and the rest of you still waiting)....you guys should email Amber or msg her on here. She can probably give you guys your tracking info and she usually responds really fast.

Good luck, hope you guys get yours ASAP.

Didn't get any shipping info when they were sent out, but got a fast reply from Amber when I asked for the tracking code via email.

Today is the day

One four hour trip to the customs office and a lengthy discussion with the woman "in charge" about this being a unique and hand made piece of artwork (VAT 7% vs. 19%), the box is finally mine! :P

Had to open it there what had the atmospheric equvalence of a first date in a bus stop (no I'm not into kinky stuff), but at least I could tell that the prints arrived unharmed. Can't wait to get home and give them the celebratory unpacking they deserve! :o

Now then: Is it fun to unpack the Letterpress series or what!?

I had such a great time yesterday evening! It was also one of the really rare times when my wife shows some interest in my prints. We even discussed the various details of the prints and it's color counterparts, the printing process, the hidden Mantas and the chess piece (I have to admit that it only occured to me yesterday that Aaron chose to illustrate the "sacrifice of a pawn"). I took loads of pics and just added a few detail shots to the database.

Here's some more...
