weird proportions? how so?
It seems like the legs are incorrect in some way. Not proportional, and there's something weird about the background underneath it.
As for the woman's fingers, I mean the two fingers on each hand, both holding the rugs (or whatever they are) open. It just doesn't look right to me, but obviously others like it.

I think the shading at the top of the front leg nearest the viewer puts it in the same visual plane as the front, right/away leg.
To me it creates the illusion that the right/far leg is larger and sort of truncates (no pun) the 3-d look of the head and body...which is weird...and cool.
just a foil for me today, thanks

The shading is a little funky, but I think it pretty clearly shows that the left legs are closest to the viewer, which is how it should be obviously. I guess if you think about it and look at it a lot your eyes can start deceiving you.

As for the Israel/Palestine print, I think proportionally they are exactly how they should be. I can see how the fingers sticking out the curtains may be aesthetically unpleasing to someone though.

Agreed, I only meant that before you give it a hard look it might seem "off" because of the shading.

It's art, you're being too critical..don't buy one if you don't like the legs or the mouth or fingers or whatever...I'll get it

..if you don't like it (just go away) let those of us that want it have a chance

I agree. Art is an expression of someone's creativity. It doesn't have rules or parameters. If every leg, arm or face was painted or drawn anatomically correct, art would be boring. Just my humble opinion.
