And even Disney knows, because we registered the trademark, now, and they didn't even try to object or nothing.o4phish20o wrote:Question for those who are familiar with Slick's work over the years. Has this guy ever been sued or taken to court by Walt Disney? Are the Mickey Mouse gloves/hands his shtick normally? And how is that not a trademarked image by WD? I mean Christ, they took Deadmau5 or whatever to court over his giant logo that has "mouse ears" on it. Really Im just curious how he gets away with such a blatant copy. Thanks if anyone truly knows the answer
Q: So wait, where did that idea come from? The idea of doing gloved hands?
Slick: It comes from when I used to mime, back in the day, you know?
Q: You mimed?
Slick: Yeah. [laughs] My mom used to work in a mall, right? And I remember one year in particular, there was a mime that used to work at the mall. And to me, it was kind of like popping. So I would [create] little moves and I'd use 'em in my popping routines and fudge. And then I was a big fan of Shields and Yarnell. So that's where the gloved hands [came from], more so than the Mickey thing.

Thanks for posting that whisper.
