That's because more variants were put up for sale. 6 x 15-20 vs only 40 or so AP copies I reckon.

Those who post that they score a variant are just too modest to mention that they scored a reg in addition.

They don't want to make anyone feel bad who missed completely. It's very nice of them.

I tried. Saw the screen telling me my purchase was complete on the variant and curiously want back to try....no marbles.

I totally think that is the case. When it comes to his WSP prints there are always way more variants available, but people me included think that going for APs are a safer bet.
