Member IDs weren't sold, it was an open registration period that ended before the public sale. A Member ID was just you signing up in order to have the privilege of trying to buy a badge during the public sale. As far as I know, if you didn't sign up for a Member ID before the cutoff date (back in February?), then you can't buy a badge for SDCC this year -- the Member ID is linked to each badge so it can't be resold or transferred.

They said they're supposed to open member Id registration again since the general sale is over.

If you have one in your area I'd say go pick one up. It's a lot cheaper and easier. It works great whenever I have to carry my prints anywhere.

how many artwork can it hold and what size is it?

I think the diameter is about 4 inches. The length can be extended and locked in with a notch like a telescope tube so you can pretty much fit anything in there. I would normally carry 5-6 prints in there to be safe but it could definitely fit more. I don't have a picture of mine but it's definitely worth it.

*ahem* You could buy a bazooka carrying tube from me, paperartcollector. ;)

Just saw your bazooka thread, emac. Top notch. I did something similar before flatstock (due to the threatening skies) in about 20 minutes. Didn't have much on hand, so I used an old bicycle inner tube for a carrying strap and some old end caps for, well, end caps. I plan to finish it off similar to yours and had been wondering how to attach the strap, so I might just steal your zip tie idea  .
So, if I can do this w/ stuff laying around before stepping out the door, y'all certainly have time to run to a big box, get some lightweight 4" PVC (which you should be shipping in anyway :P ), and whip one of these bad boys up.

If anyone missed badge sales more are going up for sale tomorrow. You need to have created a Member ID before Feb 29 though.

Thanks! And yours wins for most inventive strap! Whatever works, though. The zip tie thing is really easy -- I'll send you the instruction sheet I whipped up if you like. :)

FYI, you also can't purchase badges if you already have a 4-day badge or a Saturday badge. From the email it looks like they also won't allow those with member ID's that have any single day badges to purchase more at all. Just lettting those know out there to save them the trouble of getting refunded.
