Yeah, really dig how it turned out. I'm not sure what screentone is (guessing it's whatever gives that uniform dot patterned look?), but he did a killer job with it

screentone used to be called Zippotone when used in anime and comics - it's like a thin plastic (?) material that is usually cut with an exacto knife in the shape of where it's to be applied . . . and like you said it's the uniform patterns; used to instead of pencilling and inking in the patterns for printing. Since this is the original it should make this piece really stand out.

yeah, just shows how much work it must have taken him to accomplish it since his pencil work is so finely detailed. When I saw his instagram with a peek of what he was doing I was totally blown away by the idea of him doing it. It's all so easily done digitally now, that seeing the old school hand-done screens is awesome.
