Discussion of gallery shows and art exhibitions.

Logically it makes sense for them to bring toys/games/tikis since it DesignerCon, but given Mondo's history with how long it takes to them to actually make toys, is it really realistic that they would come out that way to just display toys? I assume the Jurassic Park board game will be done and ready to ship and will be there Black Friday offering like The Thing was last year, but I can't see them making the trek to California to show off a couple of toys and tikis.

Also, if that were the case... it seems odd that the showfloor is set up like this...

I guess we'll see shortly. Fun to speculate though.

Why not? It's a tax write off and builds the brand.

That is true. Just seems odd to me for a [primarily] print company to visit a con and have prints be their second focus, and be surrounded by print artists at the same time.

Maybe they will bring prints of the toys? Like when they made pins of the tikis. I could see that happening.

I'd argue they're primarily a record and pin company these days. They'll definitely have prints though. They did even at that game con they were at.

Anyone know how limited VIP really is? Not sure if I want to spend an extra $40 (only plan on going one day) if VIP is like thousands of people. Gotta be a lot if it is still open, amiright?

lol - it used to not be a sh!tshow, this year it will be a full blown sh!tshow due to all the new people coming from Austin and other parts who think they are gunna make small fortune - I'll be honest most of you people coming thinking the offerings are gunna be like mondocon or SDCC are probably gunna be bummed. dCon revolves around vinyl figures and design, not really focused around pop culture movie posters, but hope all you newcomers enjoy.
