Glad everyone enjoyed the show . . . looking forward to seeing pics of everything by Billy.

Agree that the person who grabbed the Esao and the Ruas was the big winner . . . maybe not what I would have gone for first personally, but that's definitely the best combo of art in the top ten.

My personal faves were probably the Edmiston Stuntman Mike and the Ansin BR; the JC Rashomon was also fantastic.

They should be on Mondo's site soon.

Not much blur, though. And no dumb angles.

Whew, it took me a few days, but I got everything in (with the exception of Drake's piece, which didn't arrive in time). Thanks a ton to Billy for the images: http://expressobeans.com/public/search. ... 18&ipp=150

And thanks a bunch to the folks who sent me kind words of support. I've decided to not let a handful of bullies ruin this place for me, a place I put so much of my heart and soul into every day. I don't have particularly thick skin, I guess, and even though I'd tried to harden myself against their BS over the years, sometimes the shell cracks and it breaks through. I was already in a bit of a funk and feeling down, so I was vulnerable to it, and let it affect me more than I should have. I guess I find it profoundly disheartening that someone who contributes endless hours of their time and energy every single day (for years) to this community would be ganged up on like that, especially when there was zero basis for any of it. Just those guys trying to make me feel shitty, like usual. And I guess it wasn't what they said that stung so much, but just that anybody actually bought into it. And there seemed to be a couple of people, people I actually thought rather fondly of, that I think did. That stung the most. And to the hateful Christian and the crypto mogul who love to look for any opportunity they can to pile on, and to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution: you're better than that. I believe you're better than that. Anyway, I'm not going to dwell on it anymore. This is all I'll say about it. I'll try to go back to just foeing them and move on. Crank the volume up to 10 and drown the hate out. It would be nice if I didn't even have to do that. If we could just live in peace and coexist. If people actually embraced differences of opinions and discussed them with civility, rather than attacking and condemning... "It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences."

On a much brighter note, the show was great! It was such a wonderful collection of work. I saw some people post rankings, earlier, of the three house parties, comparing them to each other, but I'd actually rate this one as the best yet. I think the artists continue to challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and some went completely outside of the box. Vanessa brought pieces created in a medium she's never shown in a gallery before. Aaron's drawing was my favorite of all of his House Party pieces to date. Joao's studies were way more detailed than last year's line drawings (which were pretty awesome already); I'm super envious of their new owners. Esao delivered a piece in a medium I've never even seen him work in before! Danger and Woodson explored completely different ways of creating and delivering their art, ways that played extremely well to their individual strengths and passions. There wasn't that big "holy fudge" piece like Edmiston's huge painting from last year, or Mitchell's enormous wooden thumbs up, but collectively, I think it was the strongest year yet. I'm already excited for next year. :pint:

tl;dr: Here are all the pieces from the show: http://expressobeans.com/public/search. ... 18&ipp=150
