i could be wrong.

Most were 450 + tax. So this was expensive. Really hoping the prices don't jump up again at EWAF3.

Yeah very few under $450, mostly the small ones.

But I’m fully expecting prices to be higher at EWAF3–maybe not much, likely $500+tax starting.

I’m also expecting them to raise prices for the next house party show tbh

I was thinking the same thing . . . I get that they wanted to keep it affordable for people to be able to buy original art, but it's a lot to ask of the artists, especially when they see aftermarket sales for quadruple the original price.

Yeah, but how much of that show is actually worth 6-800? The Edmiston, Foley's, and a few others. But most is worth 200, maybe a bit more. Just because someone ask for 700 for a Scott C doesn't mean they'll get it.

Yeah outside the top 10 pieces or so they’re pretty much worth cost or slightly above. With a higher price tag tho maybe we’d get even better art .

Keeping the price tag low for the sake of the fans is part of the appeal of shows like that though. Letting them make what they want at higher price tags essentially just means they're in a standard group art show (which Mondo's done before - the non-pop culture one) but generally that's a different dynamic than contributing a small, lower price piece (which in turn probably demands smaller commitment from the artist). I mean, there are a number of gallery avenues for group shows after all...

To be fair, I'd be curious if it was because he only had one copy left.

Weren't some things sold out before the show opened?

I expected Jordan Peele would've requested an invoice in advance for Get Out...
