Top 5 or 10 is a bit of a stretch on the 2001. #IMO #IMHO #companyhype

Pretty much everything else that they released was a dud so they gotta hype up something.

Why would they have to hype something that is already sold out?
If it was fake hype to sell product...wouldn't they have aimed for like Samurai Jack or Spring Breakers that was just sitting there with no buyers?
Also if everything was a dud.....why were people camping for days and/or standing in line for 6 hours even with the big 3 being sold out?

It's really hard to narrow it down to Top 5 Mondo posters. What would be your picks? I would have to give it some thought...

With the amount of posters Mondo has churned out over the years, giving this Top 5 is crazy, and to your point its hard to even come up with a list of best 5 out of the haystack.

Without going through their library, all these off the top of my head are better than 2001 IMO:

Slater Goldfinger
Moss SW set (3 right there)
Ansin Bride (either)
Durieux Hitchcock stuff (pick any 3 at least)
zomgStout Blade Runner
zomgStout Robocop
zomgStout KB var
Taylor Poltergeist
Moss Totoro (either)
Horkey TWBB
etc

Off the top of my head without giving it too much thought...

In my Top 5 for sure (I think):

Stout SW set (counting all 3 as one)
KT 20,000 Leagues
Slater Goldfinger

and two of these (not listed in any order):

Horkey Dead Man
Stout Akira
Ansin Brazil, Dracula, Taxi Driver
Durieux Forbidden Planet variant, Rear Window reg or variant, Vertigo variant, The Birds
Tong Mulholland Drive
Kurtz Graduate
Ghostco 2001
Moss Evil Dead, SW set
Bertmer Holy Mountain

I'm sure I'm missing something I love...

Regarding the Ghostco, I don't think the Mondo guys have any agenda or anything. I asked everybody individually and answers were off the cuff. Folks were just really digging it.

My wife has never reacted to a poster the way she did to the Ghostco. Her eyes lit up like Christmas and that usually doesn't happen.

- Olly Star Wars set (as 1)
- Ghostco - 2001
- Stout - Akira
- Olly Moss - Jungle Book
- Kurtz - Drive (though the Ex Machina may replace it)
