David Welker Solo Show @ Hoerle-Guggenheim, NYC - Nov. 19

Discussion of gallery shows and art exhibitions.

haha i was thinking the same thing too. You just turned away the Frasco. Just bought two OGs two blocks away.

also can you explain to me why the hell you always answer quotes on the top.

Many artists do the free print thing. We do it often at our shows. Its a nice way to attract some extra ppl into the place. Im not sure if David knew about the RSVP thing though. The original plan was to have RSVP be at 5pm-6pm and then opening 6-9. However, lets face it, that would have been horrible. But with the rain surprised people would be turned away. Ill mention it to the gallery. You have to realize that the crowd that came from this show was probably a lot different then the crowd they normally get.

Not sure what the plans yet are for the closing show but heard some plans that should be fun

Lies are a funny thing. They slip through your fingertips because they never happened to you. Time wounds all the heals as we fade out of view

Someday I'll get around to adding the show paintings to the database. And for anyone in New York who wants to see this original now would be the time.

There will be an after show party one night hosted by Pete Shapiro's media team. There will also be an afternoon event one day as well with special guests and charities. David will be at the gallery all 4 afternoons of the Phish run from noon to 6pm.

On January 1st after the Phish concert at Madison Square Garden I would like to invite adventurous music and art lovers to wander down to 527 West 23rd street for a very special after show event. In collaboration with Hoerle-Guggenheim, Relix Magazine and Welker Studios, META will orchestrate a sensory happening. A metaphysical mind expanding experience with a cast of characters inspired by some of my recent art. We will be celebrating the convergence of art and music and the closing of the "Subconscious Narratives" show.

Tickets for this event will be on sale today at 6pm EST at http://welkershow.com/

Also the "Mockingbird Foundation" will host an afternoon charity event on the first day of the Phish New Years run. So please try to swing by the Hoerle-Guggenheim Gallery on December 30th from 12noon to 4pm. There will be a special ultra-limited line art version of "Rutherford" and the profits will benefit music education for kids.
