Not a fan of the prequels. But a Maul portrait would be amazing. Maybe he sneaks in under the umbrella of Rebels . . .

Honestly, a few Prequel portraits would have been much cooler than portraits of pilots and troopers.
no because the prequels are bad movies. and we are better just leaving them be. Acme and other sources got prequel apologist art ready for ya.
Sounds like not everyone feels exactly the way you do.

And I'm not an apologist at all. I make no apology at all for liking certain aspects of the prequels:

I'd really dig it if Mike did portraits of say, Amidala and Darth Maul.

Wouldn't want Mike to do them unless he felt compelled to do them though.

just both mondo and mike have said they have no interest in doing prequel art, but every fuggin print release the same question gets asked.
Not a question. Or a request.

It's just, like, a conversation.

At one time, Mondo wasn't keen on doing timed prints. Makes no dif to me whether they do timed or not. Just shows that things can change over time, so...who knows? When the time comes to bring in extra revenue for dem holiday employee bonuses...they might change their minds about doing a few prequel prints.

I cancelled my membership at the gym due to the awful smell in the weight room...couldn't stand it anymore. All this time, I thought it was stinky feet smell. When I saw your post...now I know it was likely b&a commando sweat. Ugh.

actually you can, because the back story you get in 4-6 does a better job of telling it

Regardless - it's still Star Wars, and Star Wars to a lot of fans (including myself) is like pizza - even if it isn't great it's still pizza. Of course a good percentage of 1-3 could have been cut out entirely and condensed into two solid films (fan cuts of the films have shown this works great), but oh well. The films exist and they're still a fun and solid addition to the Star Wars Universe so there's that.

Also, the character design/costumes/etc. in the prequels is fantastic, and there are obviously a ton of great opportunities for portraits that have been mentioned. The problem is that the characters aren't as iconic (aside from Maul, a few others) as 4-6 so I get that they don't want to make portraits for the prequels.

Edit: Star Wars is like pizza

It will probably linger most of the afternoon before it sells out.
I'm not someone else.
