I was hopeful to see a new color scheme even a two tone like the gold over silver paper.

It's been in the DB for more than a year. I think it was released with the original Reg and Variant, if I recall correctly. Though this looks like they're optionally selling it without the lightbox. Maybe the lightbox edition wasn't selling well?

I bet it wasn't selling well for what? $2,500-$3,000? I can't recall the correct number it was initially listed for.
